Haden Quinlan - Senior Program Manager - MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology)

Haden Quinlan is the Senior Program Manager of the MIT Center for Additive and Advanced Production Technologies (APT). Since 2016, Haden has co-led MIT’s industry-facing teaching efforts in additive manufacturing. He has helped develop and deliver both in-person workshops (e.g. MIT Professional Education’s “From 3D Printing to the Factory Floor”) and broadly disseminated online courses (e.g. MITxPRO’s “Additive Manufacturing for Innovative Design and Production”) for working professionals. In total, Haden’s work has helped instruct over 10,000 professionals on when, why, and how to use additive manufacturing (“AM”) to drive customer or business value.

Beyond his teaching efforts, Haden collaborates with researchers within and outside of MIT on cost and value analysis for various AM technologies. Currently, he is leading the planning of several facilities on MIT’s campus dedicated to high-precision AM technologies and their supporting processing tools or characterization equipment. With a strong interest in strengthening regional manufacturing capability,

Haden has served on several judging panels for Massachusetts-based grant programs. He was also a core member of the Massachusetts Manufacturing Emergency Response team, a state-run effort that worked with over 50 Massachusetts-based manufacturers to produce over 15 million units of personal protective equipment for healthcare providers and first responders in Massachusetts during 2020-2021. Haden graduated from Northeastern University in 2015.
