Sebastian is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the field of process monitoring for Laser-DED. At Siemens, he works on the development and utilization of Cloud-Edge platforms to facilitate the collection and analysis of data from AM processes. At the Technical University of Munich, Sebastian is guided by Professor Peter Mayr from the Chair of Materials Engineering of Additive Manufacturing. His research focuses on the creation of a Digital Twin for the Laser-DED process.
