Aitzol Lamikiz - Deputy Director - Centre for Advanced Manufacturing in Aeronautics (CFAA)
University Professor in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and head of research in Laser Processing of Materials and Additive Manufacturing of Metal parts. He has been teaching at the School of Engineering in Bilbao in areas related to manufacturing processes since 1999 and has held a doctorate in industrial engineering since 2003. He is currently Deputy Director of the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing in Aeronautics (CFAA).
Within this research line, he has supervised 17 doctoral theses, many of them in the field of metal additive manufacturing and laser surface treatment, and he is the author of more than 100 high-impact international papers.
