From 2003 to 2009, Jens Lerche pursued and completed his master’s degree in Mechatronics at TU Dresden. His professional journey began in 2010 as a Component Engineer at Visteon, where he specialized in the Thermal Management of EV Batteries until 2012. Subsequently, he transitioned to a role as a Subsystem Engineer at the same company, focusing on HVAC Systems for a year. In 2013 he joined MathWorks as an Application Engineer, dedicating six years to modeling mechatronic systems using Simulink and Simscape. Since 2019, Mr. Lerche has been serving as a Senior Application Engineer at MathWorks, with a specific focus on the machinery and equipment manufacturing industry. Additionally, he is an active member of the VDMA Simulation Working Group, contributing to advancements in the field since 2021.
