"Dr. Ana Fernández-Iglesias is a chemical engineer specialized in industrial innovation. With over 15 years’ experience, her focus has always been on sustainability and circular economy. She currently works for ArcelorMittal (steel and mining company) R&D structure, where she leads a global portfolio of sustainability projects in mines.
She holds a PhD in the field of mining waste management and also works as an associate professor at the University of Oviedo. In 2018 she was appointed Circular Economy Leader by the Advanced Leadership Foundation of Washington. In 2020 she was also recognized by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation as Circular Economy Pioneer. "
